Groovin' moves & Dancin' Feet
21 2 22

21- Do you have music posters up in your room?

I’ve moved four times since I left high school. To philly, back home, to philly again, back home once more. So… I don’t really have ‘a room’. Now that I’m back in my parents house, they sorta gave me a room of my own so I’ve decorated it accordingly. I don’t have many music posters up ATM but I got a fest poster up and two dead tapestries. There’s just a point when a girl doesn’t feel like hanging them up so she can take them down a month later. But I’ve got a lottttt in storage. : )

22- Do you have the same musical taste as your friends?

Yeah, definitely for the most part. Ness, obviously my best friend, is my go to girl when it comes to fests and shows- she usually is with me at every one I go to! I’ve also made some amazing friends at school this year that really love what I listen to and are ALWAYS down to hit up some music, no matter if it’s in richmond on a sunday(umph!)and we’ve got class on monday : ) (message here is, music is better than school, ya’ll hehe)

“Heady” Festival Vocabulary
The festival world is so far from reality it even has it’s own lingo. Newcomers to the scene may find themselves confused during conversations, so here’s a freak vocabulary lesson to keep you in the know.

Shakedown Street- Every festival has one, or more than one….

This is Frog Holler.
If you like blue grass funk jams, this is the band for you. They happen to be one of our favorites (and local! Kutztown, PA- holller) and we’ve seen them a billion times. Give them a listen, better yet, buy some songs off iTunes.

This was at a show last night at a pub around our way, Union Jack’s Inn on the Manatawny. They play here about four or five times a summer, FOR FREE! You’re supposed to be 21+ to see it with out a parent or guardian, but luckily a good friend works there and lets us stay (and gives us free food!).  Anyway, it rained yesterday, so after their soundcheck they had to break their equipment down and wait it out. But they stayed until it was done- at least 30 minutes later - and played a great show. They’re definitely worth checking out.
